Why seamless gutters and not sectional

Seamless gutters are custom-fabricated on site from a single piece of aluminum or copper to match your roofline exactly. The only seams are at the corners and downspout outlets, all sealed by hand. Sectional gutters bolt 8 or 10-foot pre-cut pieces together with a joint in the middle of every run, and those joints are where 90 percent of leaks start. Fewer seams means longer service life, cleaner appearance, and a system that survives Northeast Florida's storm season instead of failing in it.

Sizes, styles, and materials we install

6-inch K-style (the Jacksonville baseline)

The right size for the majority of Northeast Florida homes. Paired with 3x4 rectangular downspouts. Available in aluminum, galvalume, and copper.

7-inch K-style (upsize)

For larger custom homes, steep architectural rooflines, metal and clay-tile roofs, and high-volume valleys. Paired with oversized 4x5 rectangular downspouts.

8-inch K-style and box gutter

For estate homes, commercial buildings, and box-gutter architectural applications. Paired with custom-sized downspouts matched to roof drainage area.

Half-round (6 and 8-inch)

Premium architectural profile. Sheds water faster and traps less debris than K-style at the same width. Hung with custom-cut T-wedges shaped on site. Available in aluminum and copper.

Box gutter (7 and 8-inch)

Built-in box gutter design for commercial buildings, historic homes, and architectural applications. Hand-fabricated to match existing detail.

Materials: aluminum, galvalume, copper

Commercial-grade 0.032 gauge aluminum with baked-on enamel finish. Galvalume for coastal homes and large spans. 16 oz solid copper with soldered fittings for historic and architectural homes. More on copper.

Gutter Pro does not install 5-inch gutters in Northeast Florida. They overflow in Florida's high-volume rain events. Anyone quoting 5-inch on a Jacksonville home is undersizing the system by a full inch.

Built as a complete water-management system

Gutters alone don't solve the problem. A 2,500 square foot roof in a 4-inch rain hour produces over 6,000 gallons. Sending that volume through properly sized seamless gutters into underground drainage that exits at a controlled discharge point is the difference between a dry yard and a flooded crawlspace. Every Gutter Pro install is designed with the whole system in mind: gutter sizing, downspout placement, underground tie-ins, gutter-guard strategy, and where the water actually leaves the property. As an NDS Certified drainage contractor, we design that exit path correctly the first time.

Pair with the right gutter guard

For any home under heavy oak, pine, or palm canopy, a gutter guard is the difference between a one-time install and quarterly cleanings. Gutter Pro installs two storm-rated micromesh systems: LeafBlaster Pro stainless steel micromesh (40-year manufacturer warranty) and Alu-Rex Double-Pro. Both are engineered to keep oak tassels, pine needles, palm fronds, and shingle grit out of the channel while passing full storm volume. Required for any home where downspouts tie into underground drainage.

Frequently asked questions about seamless gutters in Jacksonville

What size gutters are best for homes in Jacksonville, FL?
For most Jacksonville homes, a 6-inch K-style seamless gutter is the right size. Larger custom homes, steep architectural rooflines, metal roofs, clay tile roofs, and high-volume roof valleys typically need 7-inch K-style. Very large homes, commercial buildings, and box-gutter applications can require 8-inch. Gutter Pro does not install 5-inch gutters in Northeast Florida because they overflow in Florida's high-volume rain events.
What gutter sizes and styles does Gutter Pro install?
6-inch, 7-inch, and 8-inch seamless gutters. K-style is available in all three sizes. Box gutter is available in 7-inch and 8-inch. Half-round is available in 6-inch and 8-inch. We fabricate in commercial-grade aluminum, galvalume, and 16 oz solid copper. We do not install 5-inch gutters.
Are seamless gutters better than sectional gutters?
Yes. Seamless gutters are custom-fabricated on site from a single piece of aluminum or copper to match your roofline exactly, which eliminates the joints in the middle of each run where sectional gutters typically leak. Fewer seams means fewer failure points, longer service life, and a cleaner appearance.
Do you use hidden hangers or spike-and-ferrule?
Gutter Pro installs Alu-Rex T-Rex hidden hangers spaced every 18 inches, screwed directly into the fascia board. Hidden hangers hold significantly more weight per foot than spike-and-ferrule and do not back out under thermal cycling. Spike-and-ferrule is 1950s technology that we will not specify.
What downspout size should pair with my gutters?
A 3-by-4-inch rectangular downspout pairs with 6-inch K-style on most Northeast Florida homes. A 4-by-5-inch oversized rectangular downspout is required for 7-inch and 8-inch gutters or any high-volume run. A 4-inch round downspout pairs with half-round gutters and copper systems. Undersized downspouts are the most common reason for overflow complaints.
What materials do you offer for seamless gutters?
Three materials: commercial-grade aluminum (0.032 gauge) with baked-on enamel finish, galvalume for coastal homes and large spans, and 16 oz solid copper with soldered fittings for historic and architectural homes.
Do gutters help protect my foundation?
Yes. Gutters collect roof runoff and move it away from the home before it can pool against the foundation. The combined system of properly sized seamless gutters, correctly placed downspouts, and underground drainage to a safe discharge point is what actually protects the foundation. Gutter Pro is NDS Certified for full water-system design.
Can you connect gutters to underground drainage?
Yes. Gutter Pro connects downspouts to underground drainage, catch basins, French drains, channel drains, dry wells, and pop-up emitters as part of a complete water-management system. All underground drainage is installed in Schedule 40 PVC or virgin HDPE, never recycled corrugated black pipe, which collapses and silts up in Florida soil within a few seasons.
Do I need gutter guards with new seamless gutters?
Gutter guards are optional but strongly recommended for homes under heavy live oak or pine canopy, and required for any home where downspouts connect to underground drainage. LeafBlaster Pro stainless steel micromesh is rated for both oak leaves and pine needles and carries a 40-year manufacturer warranty. Gutter Pro is an authorized installer for LeafBlaster Pro and Alu-Rex Double-Pro.
How long does seamless gutter installation take?
Most residential seamless gutter installations are completed in a single day. Larger estate-scale homes, complex multi-story rooflines, or projects with underground drainage typically take two to four working days.
Do I need to be home during installation?
No. You do not need to be home during the install once the design and color are approved. The crew texts you at arrival, key milestones, and completion. Owner Albert is on site for the design walk and judgment calls.
Do you remove and haul away the old gutters?
Yes. Old gutters are removed, hauled away, and disposed of the same day as part of every install. We never leave debris in the driveway overnight. A magnetic sweep for screws and nails finishes every project.
What warranty do you offer on seamless gutter installation?
Lifetime workmanship warranty on every install. If a seam, corner, hanger, or downspout we installed fails, we fix it at no cost to the original homeowner. Manufacturer warranties cover the materials: up to 50 years on LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards, baked-on enamel finishes on aluminum, and solid copper components.
