Why I started Gutter Pro

Florida is half sunshine and half stormwater. The longer I worked in home exteriors, the clearer the pattern became: most homes were prepared for the sun, almost none were prepared for what the rain actually does.

I kept watching homeowners face $15,000 foundation repairs, $8,000 fascia replacements, and ruined landscaping that all traced back to one missing thing: a real water-management system. Not a builder-grade gutter hung with two screws. An engineered system that moves water off the roof, through proper pipe, to a discharge point that respects the lot.

The day I decided to start Gutter Pro was the day I realized nobody in Northeast Florida was offering that as a single integrated service. Plenty of installers would hang aluminum. Plenty of landscapers would dig a French drain. Almost nobody would design the full path from roof edge to property line as one project with one warranty. So in 2021, I built Gutter Pro to fill that gap.

What "owner walks every property" actually means

I have heard it claimed by other contractors and seen the reality at the install. So when I say I walk every property, here is exactly what that means for a Gutter Pro homeowner:

• I show up to the quote in person. Not a salesperson. Not a tablet running a slideshow. Me, measurement tools, and a clipboard.
• I walk the drainage path. Where the roof water enters the gutter, where it leaves the downspout, where it ends up. I assess where the next problem is going to start, not just where the current one is.
• I inspect the fascia and soffit underneath. Hidden rot is the number one reason new gutters fail prematurely. Catching it during the quote prevents a more expensive callback later.
• I write the quote on site. Itemized scope, materials specification, single number. No surprise upcharges. No same-day signature pressure.
• I am the warranty contact. If anything fails in the future, you call my phone. Not a national franchise. Not a 1-800 number. Me.

What sets Gutter Pro apart in Northeast Florida

There are dozens of gutter contractors in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Fleming Island, and the rest of the region. Here is what makes Gutter Pro different in concrete terms, not marketing language:

• NDS Certified for drainage. Most local gutter contractors stop at the downspout. We design the full water path including French drains, dry wells, sump pumps, and underground extensions. Drainage is part of the same project, by the same crew, under the same warranty.
• 6, 7, and 8 inch only. We do not install 5-inch gutters anywhere in Northeast Florida. Builder-grade 5-inch overflows during normal summer storms in this climate. We size every system to actual roof load.
• Marsh-rated HDPE drainage on Fernandina marsh-side lots. Schedule 40 PVC is the right pipe for non-marsh underground drainage. On marsh-side lots with high saltwater tables, we install FDM virgin HDPE 4-inch 8-slotted pipe instead. Different conditions need different pipe.
• Copper seamless fabrication on-site. Hot-soldered miters, custom downspout transitions, all formed in your driveway with our roll-forming machine. Not subcontracted.
• No subcontractors, ever. The crew that scopes your job is the crew that installs it, every time.
• Lifetime workmanship warranty. Plus manufacturer warranties up to 50 years on gutter guards. The warranty has my name behind it, not a corporate hotline.
