Book My Free WalkthroughHow the Gutter Pro cost calculator works
This calculator uses the same per-foot rates Gutter Pro charges on real Jacksonville and Northeast Florida installs. It estimates linear footage from your home's square footage and story count, applies our actual pricing rules for gutter size, fascia type, downspout count, gutter guards, and underground drainage, and returns a real installed price range.
What the calculator factors in
- Home size and story count drive linear footage and downspout count. Two-story downspouts cost roughly double first-floor downspouts because the run is ~20 ft instead of ~10 ft.
- Roof pitch, roof material, and tree canopy determine whether we recommend upsizing from 6-inch to 7-inch K-style. Steep pitches, metal/tile roofs, and heavy oak canopy all push water faster than a 6-inch system can handle.
- Fascia type affects price. Angled fascia adds $0.50/ft for wedges so the gutter sits at correct pitch.
- Existing gutters add a $1/ft removal fee if old spike-and-ferrule systems are still in place.
- Gutter guards are priced per linear foot: E-Z Smooth Flow aluminum at $6, LeafBlaster Pro micromesh at $12, Alu-Rex Double-Pro covers at $14.
- Drainage upgrades are quoted per foot of pipe (HDPE $22, Schedule 40 PVC $33) plus a fitting allowance per run for catch basins, pop-up emitters, and setup.
Calculator results are ranges (plus or minus ~12%). Final pricing is locked after a free on-site walkthrough with the owner. Read more about our seamless gutter installation process or complete drainage system design.
Gutter cost FAQ for Northeast Florida
How much do seamless gutters cost in Jacksonville, FL?
Most Jacksonville homes fall between $1,800 and $4,500 installed for a complete 6-inch seamless aluminum system. Pricing starts at $9/ft for first-floor straight-fascia installs plus $110 per downspout. Two-story adds $1/ft and downspouts double. Use the calculator above for a price tailored to your home.
What size gutters do I need in Northeast Florida?
Most homes need 6-inch K-style. Homes over ~2,200 sq ft footprint, steep pitches, metal or tile roofs, or heavy oak canopy should upsize to 7-inch. We don't install 5-inch gutters in NE Florida because they overflow in heavy storms.
How many downspouts does my house need?
One downspout per ~30 to 35 linear feet of gutter, minimum of 4 for a whole-home install. 7-inch oversized systems use one per 30 ft to handle higher water volume. Each downspout includes a concrete splash block or short extension.
What is the best gutter guard for Florida?
Match the guard to your tree canopy. LeafBlaster Pro micromesh at $12/ft is the recommended option for most homes. Alu-Rex Double-Pro at $14/ft is premium for heavy oak canopy. E-Z Smooth Flow aluminum at $6/ft is the entry-level option for light tree cover.
Do I need underground drainage extensions?
If you see standing water near the foundation, erosion at downspout discharge points, or have sandy soil that doesn't drain, yes. HDPE at $22/ft is standard; Schedule 40 PVC and full French drain systems are the premium options. Major drainage issues are quoted on site by an NDS Certified Drainage Contractor.
Is copper gutter installation worth it?
Copper seamless gutters last 50 to 100 years versus 20 to 30 for aluminum, develop a distinctive patina, and never need painting. Pricing starts around $40/ft installed and varies with the copper market. A long-term investment that often outlasts the roof itself.
How accurate is this calculator?
It uses our real per-foot rates and returns ranges of plus or minus ~12%. The final price is locked after a free on-site walkthrough with owner Albert. Add-ons like obstructions, tree roots, walkways, sprinkler reroutes, or major drainage are quoted on site after we see the property.
